Scenarios
- It’s just somebody’s sperm
One-liners
- What would the child think?
In-brief
While no explicit discussion in the Bible, this seems to be against the wider sexual ethics of the Bible, partly as it introduces a third person, and partly as it may question God’s provision.
We obviously do take advantage of medical help when its available as this is part of God’s providence to help pregnancy within a biblical model, but there comes a point where we consider certain steps not to be right.
As with abortion, we have to put the child’s needs before our own.
Shield verses
- And Isaac prayed to the Lord for his wife, because she was barren. And the Lord granted his prayer, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
Gen 25:21
