Scenarios
- The world would be better off with no humans
One-liners
- There is a purpose in creation…
In-brief
The Earth, the universe, was created for mankind! In relation to what or who would it be better off?
The animals and the earth itself are not sentient. They would not notice or ‘care’.
Some believe the world is an organism, 'Gaia', and we have to protect it, like a pet. It's good to feel positive about our Earth but not to worship it.
God knows the beginning from the end, the Earth’s days are numbered, by Him. There will be a new heaven & earth.
So ‘extinction‘ is not a good idea and reflects a nihilistic and ultimately foolish ideological belief.
Shield verses
- For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope
Rom 8:20 - - that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.
Rom 8:21 - they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator
Rom 1:25 - Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him.
Ps 127:2
